Placas and Markets, Barcelona

Palm Trees and blue skies.

Palm Trees and blue skies.

My last trip to Barcelona was very fruitful and always an inspiration. It is truly my second home and each time I visit I see and experience different things.  Although I lived there some ten years ago, I still visit the city probably three times a year on average. I have lots of friends who I hook up with. My photographic projects are on my new website mainly under Editorial. My work this Summer 2014 is combined with teaching to tourists in the heart of the city as well as my own personal photography project, that is in the making. www.debbybesford.com

La Pedrera and things in Barcelona

My last trip to Barcelona got me thinking about my creative photography workshops that will take place in Barcelona this Summer 2014. I started to look around as a tourist, seeking out places that people flock to sight see. La Pedrera, is quite a futuristic monumental place to discover. The roof terrace is nothing like the rest of the architecture of the building – but has beautiful sculptural shapes. Gaudi was certainly ahead of his time and he loved nature and geometry and used his imagination to bend all the rules of Modernisme. More photos of my travels to come shortly.
