I was asked by Simon Finch, owner of Voewood, North Norfolk, to take some photos of the Voewood festival on Sunday, August 17th 2014. Here is just one of many of the Famous English actor John Hurt. A wonderful and delightful man in conversation with Simon Finch. More to come. www.voewood.co.uk

Jim Muir aka Grandad Jim, arrives in North Norfolk
I had the the honour of Jim Muir and his daughter Diyala staying with us recently. There is a reason for this – Jim is the grandfather of my two children, and it is very rare we get to see him due to where he lives and the nature of his work. A lot of you will recognise the name as he is a long standing BBC Middle East War Correspondent – based in Beirut. I took some photos of Jim and this is just one of them that I think shows so much character and his sense of humour.
Mr Bingo in Norwich
A few months back I had the honour of photographing a special event at Flint’s hair salon in Norwich. Mr Bingo a illustrator, animator and graphic designer – was in town for his book signing and an exhibition of his Hate Mail book. It was a busy gathering, full of Norwich folk and a fabulous and successful night, had by all. Here are some of the photos of the evening. Take a look at Mr Bingo’s work. http://www.mr-bingo.org.uk/
Taverham Hall, Norfolk – Photography workshop
A splendid day for locational photography with year 8’s at Taverham Hall. The weather was on our side and the pupils excited about the photography challenge I set them. It is always is a very enjoyable experience for the students and staff. Some of the students have quite sophisticated cameras so they have more to think about and more control over their subjects. There were some stunning shots that I hope to get posted up on my blog soon. I have been involved with Taverham Hall and creative projects, both commercially and teaching for about 5 years now.

Placas and Markets, Barcelona
My last trip to Barcelona was very fruitful and always an inspiration. It is truly my second home and each time I visit I see and experience different things. Although I lived there some ten years ago, I still visit the city probably three times a year on average. I have lots of friends who I hook up with. My photographic projects are on my new website mainly under Editorial. My work this Summer 2014 is combined with teaching to tourists in the heart of the city as well as my own personal photography project, that is in the making. www.debbybesford.com
La Pedrera and things in Barcelona
My last trip to Barcelona got me thinking about my creative photography workshops that will take place in Barcelona this Summer 2014. I started to look around as a tourist, seeking out places that people flock to sight see. La Pedrera, is quite a futuristic monumental place to discover. The roof terrace is nothing like the rest of the architecture of the building – but has beautiful sculptural shapes. Gaudi was certainly ahead of his time and he loved nature and geometry and used his imagination to bend all the rules of Modernisme. More photos of my travels to come shortly.
