I had to giggle as the photo was originally taken about my family and looking out of my parents bedroom window – retracing childhood memories. However, I was totally surprised that it has been used to illustrate something much more serious as world issues go…

Just entered some portraits for the British Journal of Photography ‘Portrait of Britain 2017 Competition. This image of Tom is from a series of portraits about my son’s friends and their transition to adulthood. These are portraits of the future generation – They represent our hopes and aspirations.¬† As parents we watch and learn from our children and how they have been¬† effected by the current political decision making in the UK.
